MSV F3 Cup
MSVR have announced the MSV F3 Cup for 2011. This is a series for F3 cars which MSVR are promoting and organising. More details from the MSVR website on http://www.msvracing.co.uk. MSVR will be assisted by MSV F3 Cup Series Manager John Gray, with administration support from the Monoposto Racing Club.
MRC Club Administrator Simon Davey will be the MSV F3 Series Adminstrator/Co-ordinator. He will be the contact point for Series Registration, Race Entries and on-the-day Co-ordination. His existing role as Monoposto Championship Co-ordinator will continue unchanged. MRC is very pleased at this further development of our relationship with MSVR, and looks forward to working with the MSV F3 Teams and Drivers during 2011. MSVR will be launching a new website for MSV F3 in the next couple of weeks, and MRC will extend its own Website Forum on www.monoposto.co.uk to include a section for MSV F3. MSV F3 Cup Series Registration forms will be available from next week from Simon, and he can be contacted on admin@monoposto.co.uk Simon Davey Monoposto Racing Club Administrator email: admin@monoposto.co.uk |

I hope this has been created with support from / in conjunction with the brscc F3 series? If so, this should be an excellent way of improving the quality of a championship that seems to have struggled somewhat this year.

Excellent, club F3 is a series with so much potential, but has often been fairly disappointed regarding grid sizes etc. However both rounds at brands were fairly enjoyable to watch, despite the low grid sizes
Look forward to seeing it in 2011, hopefully with more competitors! (I would be very surprised if this doesn't happen with MSVR and the monoposto club involved) |

And MSVR have called time on Formula Palmer Audi, which was a cheaper alternative to F3 and Formula Renualt. The basic design was 13 years old and rather than develop a brand new car, make use of older (5 yr +) F3 chassis which are already highly developed and use them.
So it makes sense to champion an alternative series, give it a suitably high profile billing. The danger is that it ceases to be a 'club' F3 series and is regarded as a 'career' path option. Alternatively, Mono2000 accepts some of the cars, although F3 engines have to run on pump fuel, and at a ride height of 40mm, and rather than 65 minutes on track per weekend, you get 60 minutes (2x 15m quali and races) rather than a 25m quali and 2x 20m races.
