It seems like the drivers are having a lot of fun out there, according to the IRL site anyway. Are any drivers not liking it or struggling at all, Team Owner?

Most of them have big smiles on their faces. It seems it's fun to try and throw these cars around. With the brakes they have been testing it seems the cars are being driven very deep into the corners and the cornering speeds are especially quick.

Wow, this is all sounding to good!

Looking at that AGR Dallara, it looks like that aero bit in front of the rear tire looks different. It looks somewhat like a tunnel instead of a foil of some kind.

Are both chassis holding up well, and are they somewhat equal in performance?

Actually, the cars look awesome! Much better than the very dated appearance of the champcars. Not that it matters really. But everyone bags on the IRL cars appearance and I don't see why.

It's hard to judge performance levels since so many bits are being tested but Helio served notice yesterday that he was ready to take the fight to everyone by really pushing the car hard. At times you would have thought it was a qualifying lap. After yesterdays session Helios gearbox was looked at by the Penske mechanics and pronounced in great shape which is very important since the mechanics call Helio ( termite ) affectionatly for his ability to chew gearboxes up.
I was impressed with the way he came right out and thrashed the car around putting it right to it's limits.

Sweet.

There is a pic in the lastest article of Barron where the car looks like a cross between an 1986 F1 car and a early 90s Champ Car...very...very...cool...

[b]Edit: looking at theese things is like a dream come true.

From what I heard, Dallara cars (best to best) faster more than a second.
Rice 2 seconds slower.

However, as it wasn't an open test, there was no check on weight, so data are not 100% reliable.
