Does anyone know if the upper parking areas of the paddock have been resurfaced or are they still gravel?

As far as I am aware it is only the lower level that has been resurfaced. It is possible that the upper levels will follow at a later date.

Yep as it stands it is only the very lower level of the paddock that's been done, but didn't look like it was finished and did look last weekend like they planned on doing more.

went to 750 mc meeting this weeekend.
paddock not finished yet, but scruitineering has been resurfaced, toilets have been replaced and the mens toilets are now on the side the womens were on! very confusing.
The path from the paddock to paddock bend now has hardcore on.
The now permenant grandstands are there and provide quite a good view of devils elbow and paddock bend.

The toilet block looks like the same one to me but just changed round to cause embarrassment to those who don't look at signs. They were in a disgusting state yesterday so no change there.
At least the rest of the place looks better.

You should be ok as there is a loo in the new Race admin building.

I was there from Friday and they were still laying tarmac until late in the afternoon.

The loos were cleared by Sunday morning. I think the contractors who did the work may have created a problem with the drains from the loos but, luckily Al and Aidy pulled all the rubbish out.
It wasn't them who delivered the doughnuts was it?

I think what is needed for the loos is someone responsible for keeping them clean through the meetings. One other circuit owner I witnessed actually went into the lady's loo at his circuit and was really giving a dressing down to the lady responsible for keeping the loo clean, never a problem since.
As for the dougnuts, nope, they where doughnated by the SR&GT boys as a thank you to you marshals, and yesterday evening as they called there race off,we all thought you marshalls where a load of stiffs, temperature speaking that is,never seen marshalls with snow built up on there helmets before.

Basicly it says that some clubs are thinking of reviewing there rounds (pulling out) because of the cost increase of about 20%.
Also I hear from a very good sourse that Pauline (lydden manager for many years) has walked.

I can't comment on the price increase but the work on the paddock, offices etc. were there to see at the 750MC meeting last weekend and were a great improvement without, in my opinion, spoiling the character of the place. I admit that Pauline did seem a bit 'down' (not my place to ask why) although helpful as always and, if that story is true, it will be a great loss to Lydden.

I have on good authority that Pauline will be leaving Lydden, it is very sad to hear.

I am trying to reserve judgement until this weekend as I have no idea how things are going to work practically with the new buildings.
