I would expect a few modified to be entered, and maybee McCann in the Subaru.
Is mike Seller entered in the clio trophy? Is there an entry list posted any where. I remember when it was so cold that the water tanker froze solid. The track had to be altered as follows. Start line as usual, round Chessens, round devils elbow and then turn off track into hairpin at bottom of hill missing out hill section, miss out next loose section and run around paddock bend on race track and accross start line. I remember Brian Betteridge running straight into barriers on start line in his Escort. Can't remember who won the meeting. |

The entry list normally goes up on the rallycrossuk and rallycrossnl websites in the week before the event, I guess with xmas coming up people may not be around to do the updates. It would be good to see the lists though (not that it'll make any difference to whether I'm going or not).
I'm just a nosey git and want to see if anyone is bringing anything interesting along (new cars, old cars/drivers making a reappearance etc). I guess if the modified/supercar/minicross? entry is low they'll get thrown in with the stock hatches - that's always amusing. |

What happens on the winter rounds when the tarmac stretches are icy? The thought popped into my head on my drive into work this morning, "How the heck does anyone race on this?!!".
Does in get salted or something? |

Can remember watching rallycross at Snetteton in the Snow. The snow actually didn't melt just compacted, fantastic meeting. Drivers just used studded tyres.

Colin Anson has entered with his supercar, and Kevin McCann is deciding tomorrow, apparently.

What is the latest on Mclaren keeping the circuit and do you think they might sell it if they can't get the correct planning. Should b a good meeting. |

Should be a good meeting! Good to see a few of the modifieds venturing out, it'll be good if the supercars mentioned put in an appearance as well.

Hi all
Anyone know if Snapper Baz will be there? I was hoping to ask him something. Also, anyone know how many marshals are expected? Any ideas Upside Down Bug? |

Well Gnomex, myself and the boy blunder are coming out in orange. I spoke to Paul P the other day, and he tells me that he probably won't have time to do a manning sheet.
Entry looks good. I seem to remember that the old winter series only used to draw 40 to 50 entries, with nearly everyone guarenteed a final. Any ideas on a winner? Bill Harbour's escort seems to be the quickest, but the Phil Collard's Ka has been getting quicker and Dave Mountain no fool behind the wheel. Nice to see Colin Anson entered in his escort 4wd too. See you all down there for a brekkie roll at Gail's. |

Rod, Not sure what software you`re using but just open up the picture then reduce size (from an "edit" drop down menu probably) to about 400 pixels width (height should just reduce accordingly in most software packages). Then save somewhere on your hard disk. When replying select the full options and then just scroll to the bottom of the screen and "attach file" by "browsing" your hard drive for the said pic.
Here`s one from the highly entertaining Modified/Supercar Final.... (I think you need to keep total file size below 100 Kb for it to post properly...).... PS V Good meeting..... |

Results of the team challenge saw a win for the stock hatch team with 241 points to the hot rod boys 203. Individual scores for the stock hatch were Kirk Twyman 42, Chris Cake 40, Rodney Green 36, Stuart Emery 34, Chris Langley 26, Julian Godfrey 25, Roy Gravestock 20 and Tony Scott 18. For the hot rods it was Rob Carr 41, Steve Gooch 36, Steve Mills 33, Chris Goldsmith 27, Steve Goldsmith 24, Matt Leadbetter 21, Alan Thorndyke 19, Michael Bewsy 0.
All in all a very close match, and some very good driving in difficult conditions. Not one red flag all day. |

Thanks Roy, at least it shows Sue's new camera works, and congratulations on leading your team to success in the first part of the Quaife challenge. Glad to hear all the drivers enjoyed themselves.

Big thanks to BARC and Rod B. in particular for a great day's racing.
The Hot Rod boys did really well - it'll be a miracle if the Stock Hatchers can keep their lead after the return match!!! |

Great days racing on what looked to be a 'difficult' surface (nice puddle at chessons!). Can't wait for the next one!
