Why the nudity debate?

Jesus, if you think a nude pic will win...

Will it be displayed in a gallery or in a thread? I hope the former - viewing photos in a thread can be quite cumbersome.

Display will be in a gallery format with voting direct from the gallery. Actually we will shortly be launching personal galleries and photo upload for subscriber users.

For an example of what the gallery will looks like, the Fred Scatley Archive has been changed to the new format.

The debate is over, the rules have been added to to cover the eventuality . . . please pardon the pun this is covered in other photo competitions I have entered so though it would be appropriate for it to be covered here.

no doubt at all.

and no, i'm not gonna spill
And you think that is an appropiate winner for a competition specifically titled

Photo Of The Year 2007

I think that is very contradictory . . .

The 2007 is to distinguish it from the Photo Of The Year 2008 contest rather than mark the particular timeframe of the photograph

That would only be relevant if the 2008 competition was different, if it also allows photos from anytime then it is no different to the 2007 competition . . so there is no real point in having the year in the competition name.

I'm not going to labour the point, but I do think the title is misleading, I also think the competion would be more meaningful if it only allowed entries from 2007. If you want to know my reasons let me know and I'll tell you . . . not looking for a row just a discussion after all it's your competition.

Raptor, please leave it, you're fighting a losing battle.

Let any entries.

Next year, we can have a "raptor class" specifically for 2008 images. OK?

The 2008 competition will be different....it will allow photo's from 2008. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but the 2007 competition won't.....

I'm so glad about that. It will help settle the beer debate, when one of us is 35th, the other 53rd!
