Your best photo (taken yourself) - MOTORSPORT PEOPLE / PERSONALITIES
PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING:
'MOTORSPORT PEOPLE / PERSONALITIES' PHOTOS We would ask that you post a maximum of only 2 photos per race meeting or event. The title is afterall "Your best photo". Therefore when posting, take time to consider if the photo you want to show really is your best - if you cannot decide, add a second one but please no more, unless from a different event. This should also help to keep up the quality of the shots. Last edited by Andrew Kitson; 10 May 2004 at 08:09. |

OK so it's the catchpole team - Which one is 'demon tweak'?
You know, the infamous long haired mechanic from Barry Foley's great Autosport cartoon series. Then we need shots of the other characters - Mad Dog Malone, Mat Dillon (the marshal, always covered in cobwebs due to standing still in one spot for so long), Von Turnips (the german driver), Booby Galore ( think you posted her on the old thread Baz!), Gerald ( the timekeeper), Fred (The scrutineer), Elbow ( Heavyweight Touring car driver, Gerry Marshall look-a-like),Banz Eye ( Aussie touring car driver),Jet Trotter (The driver manager), Scoop ( The reporter), Simon Hooter( The magazine editor). If you read this and wonder what the hell I am going on about, find an old 1970's Autosport or get hold of the paperback book 'Catchpole and the 'F' words' from the usual motoring book sellers. Classic stuff from the dear sadly missed Barry. |

Your right Andrew-for some reason I always liked Booby Galore best! I do remember Barry Foley having a huge shunt at the bottom of Paddock Bend in Clubmans...don't think he raced again after that one...probably something like 1976 or something. I think Autosport should reserect some of his great cartoons every now and then.

Baz - you liked 'Booby Galore' best?
She is alive and well - i spotted her on her way to visit her friends at Jordan ( naturally!) at the 2002 British GP. |

More silly Yvan...
This from the podium of the CART support race at Brands last May, when Mr. Muller prematurely popped the cork of his bubbly: |
