Colin Bond

For those of you old enough to remember you may be interested that the No.2 Falcon XC that Colin Bond drove for the Allen Moffat team in that memorable one - two finish at Bathurst in 1977 is up for auction this weekend.
The Moffat No.1 car is on display at the National Motor Racing Museum at Bathurst.
The whole story is in yesterday’s Sydney daily Telegraph.

Unique Cars Magazine also had an ad in this month for this car, By the Auctioneers, interest around $70,000.
I think thats pretty darn cheap considering what similar touring cars of that era are fetching / worth at the moment.
Wish I had the spare bickies!!!
I bet Mr Bowden would be there, or at least a rep of his!

Well, the body and the wheels anyway

On the #2 car, does anyone know when/who converted it back to 1977 trim (was it just for that Bathurst demo a few years back?)

I would've thought that the car was worth more than $70,000, if the car goes for around that price than the person who buys it can feel very happy with their purchase.
