Lydden Sept.8th

Just a quick thank you to all the marshals at Lydden yesterday. Superb days entertainment from the short circuit boys and girls plus the trucks were awaesome. Thank you for moving to the correct positions each time quickly and efficiently. The incident between two Lightning rods was dealt with by RDC, but good to see no race stoppages at all. 36 races all done before 6pm, this says a lot for how well you all worked on a rather warm day. Also interesting to see how many short circuit catergories now use "raceivers" to tell their drivers what to do...seemed to work well.
Again thank you to one and all from BARC south east and RDC.

Rod,

Cheers for the thanks. This was the first time I had attended this meeting. Had a great day at Post 6, the cut through, in the morning then Post 3 for the afternoons events.

A fun day, great racing in the morning. The trucks were awesome.
The oval part wasn't too bad at all, I loved the Hot Rods.

Chris, shouldn't the two of us go on the same post next time?
As we are both not very willing to write reports and blame each other for sending the crashes to the other's post.

I have been looking at some of the oval racing forums, and the general consensus is that it was a "well organised meeting (not one red flag or stoppage)". "The work and attitude of the marshals was first class" (deserved praise in my book).
