It sounds like the Mosler, another new entry for the 2007 GT3 series is going throught the FIA homologation progress much faster... And there isn't any team announced for the Jaguar project right? The grid is very crowded and I wonder wether this project could miss its chance and/or have to run in British GT or something else.

I think they should do it like Cadena and Lotus did in '06 - spend a year fine tuning in a national championship before moving up a notch. If the grid is too crowded, it might yet prove very useful for the Jag?

It looks better than I thought it would - it has managed to tone down the generic bolt-on bits.

Looks good, it transitioned well from conceptual drawing to actual car! Now if they can develop it up a class or two!

....and doesn't it make you just wish Ford would put some money into developing a GT2 or GT1 version..... |

Love the look of the car, definately retains alot of the street car look but where will it race? Is it an ACO/ALMS ready car or is it destined for FIA GT racing?

The main focus for 2007 will be FIA GT3. As there is only one round in the UK we could look at British Gts for more exposure in the UK for the sponsors of this fantastic project

Should be competitive with it's anticpated power to weight ratio and sequential gearbox (in the rear if I have been correctly informed). I believe that the car in the picture has the correct front but that is not the final rear wing configuration. The nice thing looking at it is the simplicity of the design and the focus on function. Should be competitive in FIA and/or British GT as long as it is reliable.

Did a bit of counting and came up with a grid for FIA GT3 of 54 cars (!!!) if rules are actually kept. It should be like:
6 cars from Ferrari, Porsches, Aston, Corvette, Dodge, Lambo, Maserati, Ascari and 3 cars from newcomers Jaguar and Morgan. Do you think that's feasible or is it only me that finds it unlikely? |
