Warren Scott used to race bikes...

But seriously, it would make a nice change to see a top rider make the switch to cars as it hasn't happened for a while. No idea who it could be though.

You would imagine so , but it was a bit of an ambiguous quote on Twitter, you would have thought he would of said delighted to be continuing with WSR or similar?

It won’t be Norlin, they only have two cars and AJ will have his own livery, they wouldn’t run more than one livery on a two car team.

I heard that Norlin were only backing Smiley & not being the teams title sponsor hence the BTC name only appearing on their social media etc. Having said that I am sure AJ will be staying at WSR.

Why on earth not. He is better qualified than many on the grid now or in the recent past. LMP3 champion, BGT front runner, Credible LeMans entrant - not to mention a World class sportsman

Hoy was unlucky enough to go with Nissan for his motorsport transition - and was then dropped along with everyone else when the LMP1 car turned out to be a bag of magic beans, and the new GT3 car wasn't cutting the mustard. He'd probably do fine in BTCC. He was certainly fine in everything else he raced.

Probably really wide of the mark, but John Mcguinness was very quick when He and Flash swapped machines at Knockhill a couple of years ago. Would love to see him give BTCC a go for real.

I saw Hoy race on many occasions when he retired from cycling, in a lot of different classes. He was just as measured and aggressive at the right moment as he'd been on the bike.

I guess some people are just good at racing!

I’m not knocking Sir Chris Hoys racing career but he’s pretty much always been doing endurance racing where he’s had a experienced team mates that he can learn off, he wouldnt get that in touring cars, plus he wouldn’t have a team mate to drag the car into better positions when he’s having an off day, he’s not used to wheel banging or the type of contact you get in the btcc
