Hisatake Murata (Toyota hybrid project leader) says (after Spa round) that they have secret weapons of TS040 for LM24.
Secret weapons are tested at Spa.

As long as these 'secret weapons' bring more speed and/or less fuel consumption, and don't stand in the way of reliability, bring it on!!!

Maybe could be a more aggressive low drag updated parts... a good amount of downforce and a lower drag to be faster on straigh and consume less. No doubts that 2014 LM is toyota call

Why? He said that the driver doesn't have to look at the fuel consumption all the time, he then says that the system (software) takes some engine power if the fuel consumption is too high. What margin is there left to play with?

The three position lights are actually lasers (The living daylights style)!!...

I wonder if they've found some more top speed, that's an area were Porsche do have a slight upper hand.

According to http://www.motorsport-total.com/wec/...-14050802.html Toyota will do a 3 day performance test in Spa-Francorchamps starting from May 20.

Audi and Porsche on the other hand will do a 30 hour endurance test before Le Mans.

I like to think of Le Mans as more of a 5 on 2. Still doesn't hurt toyota's chances thought especially if it's reliable

I read this while watching a Bond movie .

But yes, let's not hope it's a secret weapon like Peugeot's Titanium Rods

Or the TS020's self-deflating tyres...

This will be one of the most intriguing Le Mans races in a long time especially if the Porsche runs reliably.

A smokescreen.

Although the R10s and 908s used to create those...

Oil slick.

(c) AMR-1

Edit: There is a joke in this about invisibility and the JLOC Lambo, but I'll leave it.

On a serious note I can't imagine what they mean, unless they can turn the wick up for LM?

It is noted theyre not using the full potential of their hybrid system so far. Spa has a few braking zones, but only two follow very long straights. Silverstone was the same, not many large braking areas. But Le Mans is much better for them in that respect. You can see from the beginning of the lap to the end of mulsanne there are 4 braking areas that are very heavy. Dunlop, the two chicanes and mulsanne corner. I doubt this is considered secret or a weapon. Maybe a flexi wing. Could be the rumored part they trialed last year but decided against? Japanese Samurai filled us in about that before if you recall.

Toyota and Porsche could use 4.78 MJ of hybrid energy in Spa. That is already at 80% of what is possible in Le Mans.

BTW flexible wings are prohibited by the deflection test in the regulations.

Vasselon did however claim after the qualifications at Spa that Toyota could not make full use of their ERS, whether at Silverstone or Spa. He however also suggests that Porsche were likely able to do so thanks to the ERS-H:
Quote:
