It just shows we should enjoy him while he’s still in the BTCC, as who knows where he will end up

As someone who watches a lot of touring car racing, this is confusing. God knows what it's like for a casual...

This sort of system doesn't help bring new followers to the sport, that's for sure.

New ECU = -30kgs
New ECU not run in TCR Europe = +60kgs
New/Late entry = +20kgs

https://www.touringcartimes.com/2019...-c-ecu-at-spa/

Thank goodness compensation weight or BoP weight for the Golf isn't tweaked this weekend also!

It's championship-specific.

Although the WTCR seems to do whatever it pleases.

It might confuse new followers but we know for a fact that series dominated by one team/manufacturer loses followers.

BoP is always a minefield. Only real solution is to go single make. Even in something with as many spec parts as BTCC they still have to balance the performance.

Not really. Forced to push hard due to an incorrect penalty for track limits. Stewards later apologised for their error. Had this error not happened he was safely through to Q2 with a time that would have seen him P7 at the end of Q1.

If that is true, then it is worse than a merely mistake.

I wish they'd get the livestream sorted, I'm getting sick of the word "wirecast" appearing in the middle of the screen and the annoying voice accompanying it.

It happens when you don't pay.

The TV Commentator is an annoying Josh Files fanboy.

And those Pugs are fast. Pity Peugeot is too afraid to race them in WTCR.

Despite a lot of contact it was generally clean throughout the field. Not sure who crashed on the run up to Eau Rouge but it looked big. However, when Coronel and Paulsen took to the grass for whatever reason, Coronel planted his foot, took out Stian and overtook 3 cars off track. Maybe he was trying to slow down but I highly doubt it.

And yeah "brought to you by Wirecast" was incredibly annoying.

Motorsport.tv had the stream sorted.

As usual, some very dubious driving by several people. Cars being fired off, left and right.

Damn it after watching first six races in this year, they already have more crashes then BTCC, Supercars and WTCR together...

Also that C-ECU in Sutton Golf is pure laugh.
Hyundai with 97.5% of power was faster then him on straight (where Hyundai drivers say they are slower...)

I fear for Jimmy Clairet in the next race, genuinely.

Driving standards in race two were horrendous, thats all i can say.

Santiago Urrutia was penalized for contact with Gilles Magnus. I didn't see it on the live stream.

It was near the end of the race. He pushed him wide on the exit of the bus stop chicane.

It wasn't for that.
It was for contact in Bruxelles which broke Magnus rear suspension.

TCR Europe at Red Bull Ring - 1st race looked exciting in the midfield, wonder what the reverse grid will bring this morning?

I expect it to be even better
Just hope Files continues with his great performances and finally move to WTCR next year, especially after bad 2018.
