Yes, that old setup advantage of strategy and not using the reds for 25-30 laps. And the guy who got past the rolling roadblock that was Josef.

Grosjean has been decent with moments of his error and Indy car not watching the action on the track and only looking at the result. Harvey pushed too hard and couldn't clear Romain's wing. Should have been racing incident and move on. Not sure why the car decided to burn but can't be his fault there unless he was riding the brakes F1 style and hasn't learned how much he can do. But that's on the team as well

dont want to derail this thread, but how is Grosjean handling himself?

I think the second half of the season will be the most telling for Grosjean. He is getting a handle on the machinery and now there are more traditional road courses on the schedule.

I thought grosjean looked like ricky Bobby running around freaking out at the first sight of a flame, lol. Not that I blame him, but it looked like a simple brake fire, something pretty common, and he couldn't get out fast enough or find something to put it out fast enough!

Any idea if mclaren gets any benefit from their f1 program in indycar? Just the only thing that would fit the conspiracy theory or whatever why they're so much faster on restarts.

I wouldn't have thought so. As a single seater the car is quite the opposite of an F1 car. The aero is ground effect and the Chevy engine isn't a hybrid and runs on E85.
