tuition

without any sarcastic comments from anyone who knows me could anyone tell me where is the best place for me (40something grannie of two )to get some tuition in race car .
did a season about 10 years ago don,t think i was the worst out at the time.
retook my ards test 3 years ago because i,d let my licence lapse while i was doing normal wife and motherly things and now i have some time i would like to have another go but would like to maybe spend bit of time refreshing my memory and gain a bit of confidence before letting myself loose on you poor lot in fords(you know who you are).
tim my other half keeps going on about quitting racing cos he reckons he's gettin to old for it and we've been racing in one thing or another for last 20odd years so it looks like i'll have to have another go ,spectating just not the same.
if anyone knows the best place to start i'd be grateful of any information.

Hi Watson

Speak to Simon Mason he is a senior instructor at Silverstone/Aston Martin etc. He got me from the back of the grid in TVR's to class winning in Britcar. Try www.simonmason.com

Obviously there are plenty of other people offerring this and you have to find a person that you can get on with.

Watson,

I offer tuition to drivers in both Karts and Cars.

Tend to do them at test days or track days, at any circuit in UK.

If you are interested, please give me a call on 07721412857 or ali@rushymotorsport.co.uk

Regards

Another 'aye' to Simon Mason. He's taken me from a total novice, starting with a few trackdays, to a regular top 6 finisher in my series, the Alfa Romeo championships.
This is my first ever year of racing, and my results thus far are:
7th / DNF / 4th / 5th

I still have a National B licence, and still carry a novice cross on the back of the car (I only have three signatures on my licence)

Just one thing though - he's busier than a busy bee working for Busy & Co. Ltd over a Busy Bank Holiday weekend, so you might find that there are occasions when it's diffficult to get both 'diaries' matching.

Yes, 'patience' certainly IS his middle name...

His catchphrase though is...
"Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey"

Get used to hearing it!

Garrett

P.S. He does a lot of work for Bookatrack.com, if you have a look at the forums over there he is very well regarded

I'll vouch for Simon, having worked with him many times.
