Max wants less, Bernie wants more!
The Fia want less races.http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/3453327.stm
"In the longer term we would prefer to see 16 races" Bernie want more races. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/3447555.stm "We could easily get to 20. All we'd need to do is reduce private practice (testing) days from 40 to 30 and that would create room for two more races." Would F1 benefit from more races? Are there twenty countries around the world that don't have a ban on tobacco advertising?

I think Bernie can just squeeze a few new circuits into Montserrat, Aruba and/or Guam.

The problem is, increasing the number of races, and at the same time dropping traditional events, would mean a strong shift towrds countries that have no team, no driver, no racing tradition.
It's the clear plan of Bernie, who openly declared in his opinion Europe will become a 3rd world environment in a few years. Max Mosley should first of all defend the basic identity of F1 which is primarily European. Then the problem of how many races is not of prime concern. |

20 races is ok, but I don't want to see that number go up to 36!

I think 16/17 is about the right number.
The total should always leave the fans wanting more... |

Twenty is a nice round number. Start in early March and finish in late November.

I think twenty races would make for a good championship as sixteen is definately too short.

It's been 16 for most F1 seasons in the past thirty years. Twenty is too much - 18 is the ABSOLUTE limit.
Otherwise, individual races lose their importance. |

i think the teams would suffer if there were more races, especially the smaller ones.
Transport cost would rise if F1 moves out of Europe away from the teams bases. |
