Yeah, was fairly nasty but I was going to refrain from saying it! Well built but isn't going to be competitive in any sort of open class racing.

Race engineer & driver in perfect harmony.

Dermot advises Andy Dickens at Spa. Toyota Super Formula, Monoposto race 2003. I think John (Miller) might have been on the grid as well.

Another Pic.

Never mind, I suspect its mother loves it.

Doesn’t look too bad, bit like the F3.

I do remember that car. I think Dermot bought and sold it several times to various people.

Andy Dickens had a red 036 later, I think, which was then sold to Larry Jerram-Croft. I think he sold to a chap in France.

That's the car we called Formula Toyota Super Cup. It's based on the F3 tub but with changes for safety (side head protection) and cost - e.g. the front suspension is a simpler setup and the pushrod doesn't pass through an aperture in the tub, instead it goes through a slot in the damper cover (hence crashing is less likely to damage the tub).

I don't think it was that bad for a composite chassis spec-formula car, bearing in mind we had to build 30 or so at a sensible price and no single seater with head protection at the time was especially pretty, even the expensive ones!

Having said all that I am more interested in the F3 cars and would certainly like to be reacquainted with one, and/or drawings from the time which I worked on.
