I wouldn't be surprised if we saw ITV pick up the pieces and take on the Breakaway series... It'd fill in that void quite nicely, would it not?

James Allen must be getting excited..

This is what any 'breakaway' series should fear the most.

Autosport.
I've been told by someone more in the know than myself that Honda still hold a sizeable stake in the team

I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions from that

Whether they want to or not if the FOTA teams have gone is another matter
Per Autosport, Lola officially withdrew their bid for an F1 team.

It is the FIA, specifically Max Mosley, that has created this situation.

I respect his intellect, but detest his arrogance and ego. He has to go.

If we had to get rid of all the people in F1 that had "arrogance" and an "ego",there would be very few people left.

We hear also that Team Lotus has given up the idea of using the Lotus name but will go ahead as LiteSpeed.

The FIA one or FOTA?
I imagine it's the FIA one they are contractually tied to, so therefore will any other broadcasting company do the other?
And you might the most likely be?
And of course a contract stopped ITV from terminating their contract before it was due to finish as well?

Contracts are made to be terminated/broken under certain conmditions and, no doubt, the BBC's would have an out clause should there be marked changes in the champonship.

So we could end up with nothing at all.
Now that's really giving the fans what they want.
