Lyons holding out for Jordan test seat
From Autosport magazine.
Richard Lyons will find out this week if he will be named as Jordan test & reserve driver for 2003. The decision is dependent on Jordan securing the sponsorship to run Lyons in Friday testing at the GP weekends. ---------------------------------------------------------- This is interesting as maybe Jordan will be in a position to announce their complete driver line up and sponsorship package fairly soon. |

ive just read this in autosport myself........I think it would be great to see Richard in a test deal/reserve driver for Jordan.......although , im sure he would nt be able to be reserve driver straight away as he wouldnt have done enough miles in a F1 car.....
I hope they give him the thumbs up for this , the guy is very talented indeed. |

Who cares what nationality a driver is as long as he can drive/race, and give us a good race! Last edited by high contrast; 17 Jan 2003 at 22:24. |

Lyons is a real talent , well i think he is . And it will please Johnathan Palmer too, to see another one of his ex FPA drivers get near to the top level .

on an Italian site I read that Jaime Melo jr was also hoping for that test seat, he was fairly optimistic but the problem was that the required budget was raised.
I wouldn't be surprised if Jordan announces their test- and 2nd driver in Australia |
