Have a cry. Ford fans nowhere when Fords are winning under the same rules, and Ford team owners have just as much input as other teams do.
888 absolutely ground the opposition into the ground with raw pace: http://www.theracetorque.com/2018/09...wn-demolition/ Hard to be a Ford fan when DJRTP seem to be off on a non-profitable experimental setup and PRA seem to be having another "rebuilding year". New car development sapping results, just as it did for 888 last year? |

Best team of the last 10 years cleans up, and people are still surprised?

Also reminder, 888 killed everybody particularly with the FG, until Ford decided their car had to be blue, and the rest is history... |

Plus until recently DJR-TP have been running really well. We'll have to see if they're back on form at the Mountain or if the slump continues

Did anyone else catch that moment at the end of the race where Mr. Larkham yelled poopy on national TV when a brake disc accidentally fell onto his foot? Felt a bit bad but couldn't help but have a small stifled chuckle alongside Mr. Skaife and Mr. Ingall.

It wont go down as the pantheon of great races but even though I'm not a 888 fan I was actually hoping for a formation finish or victory lap like Mercedes did a few weeks ago in the F1. Those Red Bull things are FAST, I have a fear that everyone else might be running around for minor placings at Bathurst.

Stewards Busy Post-Race
The incompressible jack stand violation should be probably have been solved with exclusion and a fine. Yes they can be forgotten in the heat of the moment, but with cars getting banged up all the time, wrecking the alignment of the seals in the air jack probably isn’t too difficult. This is a pretty serious OH&S failure... |

Given his mixed form over the past few years, you could hardly blame DJR for telling him to let 17 through, after all, it's usually 888 cars he puts the blinker on for.

Isn't there a rule about no burnouts until all cars have passed the control line?

More like Parroty when these posts start.
How many races has Scotty Mac won in the last 2 years? Where were the complaints about parity then? |

What a load.
People were talking about Ludo, and whether the ZB teams could get a handle on the new car. Not one person brought up parity. It's obvious that whining Ford fans can't win - if you win, then hooray, parity is working! If you lose, blame parity. Be interesting to see how the Mustang goes. What is seriously true though, the best Ford team's second best driver is lacking. The entire second best Ford team is sorely lacking. How can we even know anything about parity then the whole of PRA can't get their **** together? |

Must be of concern to the second best Ford team, that they're being out-performed by their single car customer team.

I don't fully subscribe to the notion that he's a journeyman. Seems to be a victim of various circumstances.
Outperformed the favoured Mr Tander at HRT in his first year, nearly bagging a championship. They dogged him in 2010, and then replaced him with Mr Courtney. In the FPR years, fared better in the results to the favoured Mr Winterbottom, quite frequently. Got messed around at contract renewal time, when the team were keen to get Mr Mostert into a seat, so looked elsewhere. Found Erebus, who then ran out of money and cut him free. Similar story at Tekno, allegedly. I suspect he'll see out his career at 23Red, whether it's at the conclusion of this contract, or the next. |
