Yoong Montoya should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Why isn't Imola the last WSBK race this year?

I've just got the 2001 and 2002 WSBK season reviews on DVD from shopping in England on holiday, and Imola was a great finale in both of them! It worked well as the season finale so why is this year's championship ending at Magny Cours? Surely that's the dullest place to finish a season?

dunno, never seen a superbike race at magny cours - that long fast straight could be great for slip streaming.....

It was supposed to be in 2000 as well, but they ended up at Brands. This year's calendar has had a fair bit of a reshuffle. I'd rather see a few different tracks like this, maybe changing one or two every couple of years, than the F1 idea of going to the same places year after year. I remember the days when F1 GPs used to alternate between venues.

I agree - Magny cours is a pretty uninspiring venue, but we'll have to see how it goes. I didn't think much of changing Dnnington for Silverstone but this year's races were fantastic, so maybe we should give the place the benefit of the doubt.

Honestly i thought Imola wouldn't produce great racing (i was going on what i had seen in F1), but we have had some great races there, especially race 1 & 2 in 2001, they were classics. As mentioned the straights there should provide some good slipstreaming, and then there is the hairpin at the end.

Why is it the last round? I dunno, Magny-Cours probably offered Flammini more money....

Anybody been to Imola? Me & the missus are flying out(£112 return for both of us!) and whilst we're lucky enough to get paddock passes I'm unsure about whether I still would get a better view by buying a grandstand ticket.Any ideas??

Well, after last nights boring parade at Magny Cours, I hope the Superbike events provides more interest!

At least there's a couple of good passing opportunities for bikes - one at the Adelaide hairpin and the other at the final turn before the chicane.
