Nogaro E.T.C - 1988
Why was the last round of the 1988 European Touring Car Championship, which turned out to be the last for 13 years, split into two heats (one driver in each heat), rather than a 2 driver endurance race, like what just about every other ETC race in it's history had been.

I think I've got a race report for this one somewhere (I collected ETCC & BTCC results at that time), I'll look it out and see if it explains why. I've got a feeling that something similar happened at at least one other ETCC meeting around that time.
Be warned though- this may take me some time to track down, as the answer could be in my collection of Autosports which are stored in two different places about 200 miles apart..... Last edited by KA; 5 Dec 2002 at 17:55. |
