Sparky should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Spanish telecommunications giant Telephonica will not be buying out Minardi. The company is now focusing on other business; It is buying the Dutch company, KPM Telecom.
After a year of speculation, the Minardi team are now looking to other investors. One deal involves ex-Tyrell Rupert Manwaring with money from Asia.

Alexander Wurz's seat at Benetton is safe until the end of the season. Flavio Briatore is said to have 'written off' 2000, and is focusing efforts on next years assault.
Flavio sees replacing Wurz as unnecessary hassle.

Antonio Pizzonia will not now test for Benetton. The terms of the contract, which would give Flavio Briatore exclusive rights the young Brizillian, is something Pizzonia could not accept. Benetton will sign German F3 front-runner Giorgio Pantano.

Renault are to supply only one customer engine next year, in addition to it's works team Benetton.
It has been suggested the engine will be of equal specification, to ease the logistics of supply. The lucky team is likely to be Arrows.

Ford Technical chief, Neil Ressler has pledged 'sufficient funding' in order to achieve a turn around for the Jaguar team's fortunes this year. The team have yet to score a single point this season, and sources suggest the fault lies in the combined engine/gearbox oil system, and having the wind tunnel located in California.
Ressler has taken personal charge of the task of turning the team around. However, the wind tunnel is at least two years away.

McLaren walked away from Spain with three trophies on Sunday, but I expect they'll be placed at the back of the display case...
The Trophies were presented by Marlboro, and were oversize stainless steel replicas of the Ferrari F1-2000 steering wheel!!

I bet McLaren will scrutinize the trophies for what secrets they might reveal...not to mention live microphones.
