Daytona 24Hrs 1993 Question, any ideas?

Thanks for looking. I am trying to establish at what weight the Bud Light V12 Jaguars raced at Daytona in their final year(1993). They appear to have almost run in a class of their own, the Le Mans car class. Would appreciate knowing where I could find such information.
Thanks

Wow, now _that's_ a headscratchers.

Might I suggest posting the same question over at www.theracesite.com? Lots of North American endurance racing insiders there.

There was a book published on Jaguars GTP effort. Can't quite remember the name. Saw it on the shelf used at my local diecast shop.

You could try www.jaguarracing.wz.cz has some info and on the 93 cars, and also some on the Grp44 cars.

Still looking chaps, Unfortunately the GpC & GTP book cuts off at about 1990 and the site in NZ doesn't help. Any more suggestions?

there is a book titled World Sportscar Racing'93/Upietz, which may contain the info , its fairly comprehensive, it features a picture of the Allard that raced in America, no guarantees it contains what your looking for, the bookshop in Woburn had a copy last time I was there.might be worth a shot.

The race-regulation shows the minumum weight, I will have a look in my records. But #2 finished on the 10th place, #3 on the 60th. You will find the entrylist + the results + some pictures on http://www.racecar-collection.com

What about the French site that was posted on here a few days ago - http://site.voila.fr/xjr14/sommaire.html

It shows a weight of 750kg in IMSA 1992 spec

Would it not be the same as Le Mans 1993?

1991/2 was 1000kg for Group C1 (turbos, V12 Jags etc.).

In 1993 the ACO took back control of the regs from the FIA so may have reduced weight back to 900kg to have a more competitive field. The Jags ran Daytona '93 to prepare for Le Mans, but weren't entered.
