There are a number of teams in the Dunlop series who dont have that level of spares, let alone in the TCM series.

Front runners? It doesn't even need to be fresh, or the latest and greatest spec. Just something to throw in so you're not out of the entire weekend.

Didn't the Williamson(????) Jag throw a standard road car engine in at Sandown after lunching the race engine back in the Group C days?

Jimmy has probably spent all his cash on the Javelin........nothing left for the Ford.

IMHO Probably find it's setup for a non standard block (like "Dart") and that a normal Ford Engine and ancillaries fitting into the engine bay no longer exists and to make one now fit would require some major surgery which would probably not be worth the effort for the time required to do it .

Interesting to read the following in the TCM Rules:

"Modern graphics or colour schemes shall not be permitted and sponsorship signage must be at a level consistent with that experienced in the early 1970's period".

If you saw the Johnson, Bowe and Richards cars at Darwin round I'm sure all would agree they did not comply with this rule.

So why have such sensible rules if the leaders are going to completely ignore them?

Last year's car was pretty wild.

This year's is a lot tamer.

Also, is the Bowe torana running a 5.8 litre engine, if so how is that allowed?

I'm sure natsoft had it down as a 5.8 at hidden valley........maybe a mistake on the part of natsoft or my error then.

Im suggesting Natsoft is wrong

It's appealing because the car has an Aussie 308 engine, unlike the other Torana’s that all have Chevy engines.
Same as my boat, wonder if its still running a rochester
