Peter Jackson Racing

Hello all, Just wondering if anyone has any pics of the Peter Jackson Racing girls between 92 and 95. I have searched the net for years to no avail. I would like it if someone could help. cheers

There was a front cover of one of the earlier MRA's with a PJ girl on the front, either in late 1992 or early 1993. The 1995 edition of the Great Race has pictures of the PJ girls in 'Racing' regalia, thanks to the lunatic tobacco advertising laws of the time. There are probably more, but that's all this long-time Seton fan could come up with.

i seem to remember the 1996 Alan Jones car that caught fire was the last of the so called Peter Jackson cars (i dont think it had 'Racing' on it though). I just remember AJ leading the racing, and passing Lowdnes in the wet... loved it.

I think the MRA article was in 1993 and was about AJ from memory.

Good to see that you aren't too shallow, Forda.

You are at least as deep as the water you would find around a plug hole

Forda is obviously an air-conditioning salesman, hunting for a sale. What else could he possibly have meant?????

32 and still looks 22 so could donn the lybra blue jumpsuit with ease.

Someone must have pictures out there though. Every race meeting there is always people getting there pic taken with the grid girls. The photos must end up somewhere....

gday members, thanks for all your responses. You are right yort, there must be some photos out there from people at the races, maybe they dont have a scanner. I have the Mra magazines as well as the great race books, but, as I was only 16 in 95, couldnt afford to go to all the races, and couldnt get the shots i wanted.

Hopefully someone is kind enough to post pics or lead me in the right direction.

Shame that your friend yort, doesnt have a suit anymore, it would have been cool to see pjr gridgirl in 2007!

It was the pre-digital camera era, so any shots taken would likely be on film, and need scanning for loading. This is also why it is hard to find pictures of old race cars online

Ask Kevin Rudd. He may have visited the changing room.

You are one persisent bloke!

I did my bit in the beginning of the grid girls thread (best thread by a mile). I scanned in what photos I knew I had.

If I do come across more, I'll scan them. But I doubt that I have any more...

I noticed that actual Pirtek outlets are a much darker blue than the Ambrose cars, so if the factory backed Fords are Pirtek Blue, then aren't they actually Peter Jackson (Pack Leader) Blue? So the Fords are racing in the colour originally used on the bonnet of their arch rival Nissan?
