Just go notified the Richo's FPR car will be reveled on the 16th of February, which I find a bit strange as the TV launch for the series in on the 15th !!!!

So number 6 is green and red with Castrol not bp ultimate or nestle or whatever on it? I must say in my opinion it looks hideous, so there's I think red or green where the white is on the Orrcon car with the other colour down the side, split by a white line.

Certainly wasn't the big launch I was expecting. How many cars were there ? Couldn't see more than 2 on the telly. I hope to God they keep Mel & Kochie away from the V8 coverage.....they're awful.

Well I captured this morning sunrise cos I wasnt working so I didnt want to get up at 6 to watch - it appears I didnt miss too much though - perhaps you had to be there ?

how mad was the paint job on lowndes car! Holy crap nothing is going to stand out more than that... will be interesting to see the hrt car... the red on lowndes car is like nothing i've seen before...

V8s on sunrise what a joke i worked this morning so my wife taped it for me, it took 15 minutes to watch basically not much about the v8s at all. Spent most of the time fast fowarding to find the spashes of v8 courage. I thought they were going to reviel telecast times, what this v8 supercar show was all about and things like that, instead they talked **** to a couple of drivers about nothing, and that basically was it. I still none the wiser, i sick of reading in the media and on the v8 website how good this coverage is going to be but no information. I hope this isn't a sign of whats to come......

I cant stop laughing. Oh my God was that it. Was that seriously the launch. What a joke! The worst launch in the history of launches!!!! At least I wasnt there. Imagine going to the trouble to be the 5 people that were there. The TV was Pathetic to say the least. Not a good start to a new relationship. It only has to improve.01% to be better than today, or should I say Sunrise.

Launch was pretty poor...

Not sure what to think! Last years launch was awesome compared to that. Every car was there last year. Yes it was very wet but it was an awesome opener. What was that Tony and 7? They showed us a total of 4 cars. Is that all that was there?

Was this the 'official' V8 launch ? If so it was pathetic. As pathetic as my 'hrt unveiled' thread...must remember smileys....
Correct me at will, but,...at any stage was there a ruling that at a 'official v8 supercar launch' all teams must be present in some capacity ? I found today's broadcast very average indeed..soured even further by that ghastly Richards falcon and the lack of team support. Surely this must be a preliminary to the real launch. |
