I was at the Brands Hatch round, which was a great spectacle but it felt little more than a club meeting and most spectators were there for the support classes instead.

I don't ever think it was ever supposed to be a rival to the BTCC. It's been a good effort, but we'll see what happens over the winter, because it needs to improve

Any news on a new calendar?
Surely, leaving it this late is bad for the series?

This year's calendar was announced in mid September last year, so you'd have expected a 2019 calendar to have been out by now.

Hopefully the new Ferrari Challenge UK series doesn't take away potential entry's.

I'm not entirely convinced the Ferrari Challenge series will be the natural choice for ex TCR UK drivers. 🙄 😁

Given the amount of amateurish driving and unnecessary shunts, most of them should aim to compete in the free to enter M25 Commute Challenge. He/ she who manages an incident free lap wins the M25CC Trophy: a finely hand crafted affair in the form of a Scotch Egg.

Back to serious a moment: WCR are talking about walking away from STCC due to it's incompetent management and are doing the maths for running TCR Europe: I would be almost certain that if they do enter Europe they won't be in UK.

Is UK dead? Not yet, the life support machine hasn't been turned off. I think it is only a matter of time: however long it takes to invent a list of 'plausible ' excuses!

Truth to be told drivers in Ferrari Challenge are even worse then amateurs in TCR UK. Just take a look at this year World Final

Er, blimey. These guys make the Clio drivers look like kids on their best best behaviour during a driving test!

There are 5 TCR cars entered for the Britcar races at Brands this weekend - almost as many as the TCR championship managed!
