PTRACER should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Cheaper to modify dampers or buy new?

Mine are too long and need to be shortened by a few inches, is it worth getting them modified or should I buy new? I've been looking into buying new but I don't really know what I need.

If too long would that not mean the shaft and the body which I would assume are matched were too long in which case sell em on and by new surely as it would be uneconomical to change both. I had some the wrong length fitted for me by the guys that originally built my IROC and it used to go solid and into immediate oversteer during high speed cornering and it took me a while to work out what the hell was happening as these guys were meant to know what they were doing.

Have done it with Bilstein no issues, with my DMS, (which are multi adjustable gas with independent bump and Rebound), It was way too hard and expensive, however, I moved the mounting point of the strut to the hub up by an inch or so, which was enough for my needs,

Just check that the motion ratio is what you need it to be...
