Chateau Impney Hill Climb
Is anyone going to the Chateau Impney Hill Climb on 11th and 12th July in Droitwich? Just been on the website (www.chateauimpneyhillclimb.com) and looks like a really good weekend.
Apparently it’s the first in over 50 years but they’ve updated the course so it’s longer and more difficult than the old one. The full class list is up online and it’s really impressive – 10 ERAs, the Beast of Turin, the Scarab, Aston Martins and D-Type Jags. There’s an early bird ticket offer and kids go free. The launch video is pretty cool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e36kgGE4A0 |

Missing video link
Great see you there!
Just realised the video link doesn't work because of a tiny missing hyphen. Hopefully here's the working link if anyone fancies watching the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-e36kqGE4A0 |

I will be there in my Cooper Mk XI 500cc car. I only live a few miles away and my dad attended the original events as a child in the 50's.
One of the many things my wife moans about racing is the cost of fuel travelling to events and the travelling time - at least in the 3 miles we will have to attend this event these will be minimised! My first ever hillclimb after 20 years of circuit racing. Really looking forward to it and the entry list looks fantastic as does the venue. Stuart Wright |

Walked down the course a couple of months ago after a business meeting for coffee.
If the course is taking the route I think it is, then the first left hander will be interesting with a wide entry, narrow exit and great big trees at the edge!! |

The course map can be downloaded here:
http://www.chateauimpneyhillclimb.co...nt/course-map/ It would appear that the 1st corner is the 2nd of the 2 left hand options and is much tighter than it may have appeared on your walk. I have had reason to make several recent visits to the hotel with work and strangely I have felt the need to use the lower entrance rather than the main one - It meant I have had to drive the course each time |

Entries closed in the 3rd week in Feb, they are very slow, they rang up for the entry fee at the end of May, I had already spent it as I thought they had taken it !

There are only seven works 105 's Worldwide.
People are being very careful with them now they are supposedly valued towards 2 million . At least two real ones at Silerstone and two pretend cars. |
