JABWOA should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Weight & Power have no relevance to a decent race spectacle.
Watching 40 HQ's produced plenty of enjoyment when I used to be trackside.

He's using the Supercar method of accounting where one person is counted as ten, several are counted as plenty and so on and so on.

I think you're expectations might be for something that was never the aim. this will be similar to the current ute series. Its an entry level series

Drivers sample SuperUtes

So the aim was never to provide an exciting racing format, well, mission accomplished, well done, good fill in while people go get their lunch or whatever.

the aim was to replace the superseded v8 utes with its modern replacement. That is what they have achieved.

entry level, production based racing in a category of car that has a popular following.

and it will be exciting, just not 3/4 of million dollars exciting

Not everyones cup of tea, but neither was v8 utes

Slow<>unexciting. If you think that, you've never seen 2CV racing in the UK. They're definitely not quick, and they're definitely never dull.

Equally fast<>exciting. Take F1 for most of it's recent existence.

Hey I watched it!

If only I could find some proof it existed. It may have been the shortest livest national racing of series of all time.

Selective memory again Pecky, no idea at all about what was explained in posts 174-6. Or has your friend been posting on your behalf.

it was refereed to without any evidence, Have no recollection. and to be honest, if it was real, not sure of its relevance to SuperUtes 30 years later.

Red herring

The relevance is that a series for the same type of vehicle which ran as a support series for a successful series was a failure.

What has changed since then is the popularity of these types of vehicles on the road.

Hopefully the series will be successful. I am looking forward to it.

Were they turbo diesels? Did they have a control suspensions and improved brakes? with 260isk KW?

and this was many year pre v8 utes, which proved there is a market as well.
