Indeed.
Pity he did his choosing in such a way that another team was shafted. Last edited by Kicking-back; 21 Dec 2004 at 19:51. |

unless you give them a full budget as compensation, theres no way of doing it so that you're not shafting anyone.

It would be a shame if Guerrieri's promising F3000 season went to waste - it only just occured to me that he finished on the same points as Lopez, even though Lopez was already taking the Renault V6 title the same year Guerrieri won the Renault 2000 Eurocup.

Not to mention that Lopez did lots more testing than Guerrieri. Really, it would be a tragedy if the kid doesn't find a ride in GP2. Lots of talent there and a strong attitude.

I'd like to see James Rossiter step up - although another year of F3 seems more likely.

I'd say that at the moment Rossiter is leading the way in the BAR young driver evaluation tests, so where he goes may well be influenced by the outcome of those. Just my opinion, but I think another year of F3 would be more beneficial.

Autosport.com is reporting that Scott Speed will be in GP2 for an all-new team, put together by F3000 championship-winning personnel. Will this team take the place of P1 Motorsport? Is it one of the teams already announced for GP2? How do they know they'll get a grid slot? Help!

Paul Jackson, Gavin Jones and Carl Gerrish, they also have Jonathan Williams on board.
But its Comtec Recing who are behind them...... in the workshop round the back. |

Isport is the old Petrobas F3000 core with some enhanced marketing/team owner connections

Of course, I'd forgotten that the Petrobras team had regrouped. Thanks, all.

I'm fairly sure James Rossiter is doing Euro F3 with Signature. Unless he gets a helping hand from BAR, Adam Carroll will have the perennial problem of lack of funds, and I have no idea about Alex Lloyd. Perhaps Mr Jinxx could enlighten us? Maybe Super Renault or whatever it's called, again subject to funding.

If he has a chance with Campos, I expect he has a chance with every team that has a seat.

Arden will announce its drivers at the Autosport International show.
Christian Horner says the line up is "the strongest we've ever had." |

If it's Heikki Kovalainen and Nicolas Lapierre, then that'll be better than his F1 line-up (hee hee!).

Kovalainen & Lapierre
Well, it's time to analize the Kovalainen and Lapierre Career.
In my opinion Lapierre is a honest driver, nothing more. He won is first race ever(!!) in Macau 2003, in a very lucky condition! About Kovalainen, i'm sure he is a good driver, but is not a telent one. In F.3 he was not some special: i remember when Gommendy put the finn in a ridiculos situation in Macau 2002. Tristan took the first place and Heikki did nothing...just watch his rival to pass him! I will never forget the faces of team HiTech in pit-lane...... Okay, he won a championship this year, but what about the level of this World Series? Quite low..... In my opinion the dream team is HAMILTON-ROSBERG!! |
