ADAMS - ADAMS motorsport
Hi all again!
I am nearly at the end of my university studies and i am thinking about a master thesis on vehicle dynamics. I would like to use some mechanical simulation software like adams. As i am more interested in race car vehicle dynamics ( i work on formula cars since 2003) i would like to focus my work on this topic, using something like adams motorsport to validate my studies. Is there anybody who is currently using some adams package or similar softwares? I know it is quite difficult to learn how to use them, so i am wondering if someone who use them can give me some advice... |

Ive used View and Car, I found View ok and you can do everything you can imagine in it . Car was very hard going as I had absolutely no support on it. I really struggled on the full car simulation stuff. the other stuff was easier. all self tought really using the help window and using the MSC forums
These software packages are extremly technical and I wouldnt advise it unless you are prepared to go into great detail. If you dont understand vehicle dynamics inside out your better of using simplier packages and getting on learning about vehicle dynamics. you can achieve a great deal using simplier or more basic techniques. BTW Ive never used Motorsport so I can only imagine its a sort of a version Car but focused onto motorsport requirements. Hope this helps. |
