Since 2020 was a bit of a flop...

It doesn't look bad. We have variety of cars, drivers with experience in different categories, TV production looked good last year, it should be enjoyable to watch.

It was somewhat interesting to note the cross promotion there was during the cricket today.

Apparently as much as everyone hates it, it's actually effective for the tv stations.

As much as the series is known by us and other fans who engage in domestic motorsport. For a lot of people that are inclined to like car racing, those cross promotions would be the first glimpse they've ever had of the series.

I personally think it was a bit early to go to a commercial tv station. It kind of allows C7 the opportunity to mess about with it before the class firmly established itself in Australia. But we'll see how it goes.

18 cars at Symmons in January after nothing in 2020 is a pretty good effort.

How many TCR cars are going to the non-championship race meeting at Baskerville the weekend after?

Interesting that in a recent video of their on fb, Greg Rust mentions that there's multiple makes, like it's specific feature of the series. That should just be normal and not thought of as something distinct.

Well that is singing from the TCR songbook. Noonz rabbitted on and on about the number of manufacturers all through 2019, obviously trying to put the boot into Supercars with their lack of manufacturers.
The number of manufacturers is something TCR can crow about, rather than the quality of the drivers, the cars, the crowds etc etc which is obviously inferior to Supercars.
You emphasize your strengths when marketing, not your shortcomings.

I should think they need to use the word 'brands' rather than 'manufacturers' as to imply manufacturer involvement in most TCRA teams may be not quite correct. Buying a car from a tuner means you are running a 'brand' of car after all...

Well, I don't know about obvious. Laying the boots into supercars is pretty easy that you can do it without actually doing it. After all, it's is an entertainment product using car racing as a conduit for that entertainment. As opposed to a legit car racing series.

Once again, Idk about "obviously". If it's inferior, then it's negligible. Supercars has a bigger commercial presence, but it's got a 22 year head start. It also is has a higher percentage of supercars fans, which is different from car racing fans.
