I'm watching a bit delayed but jeez Tim Slade is rusty, dawdling along, out wide at Forrest Elbow, then turning down on SVG.
Luckily no major damage to either. |

90-100% chance of showers on Sunday according to the Bureau, with 15-20mm expected.
That late start might end up looking like a not so good idea! All we'll need is fog across the mountain to stop them running for a while to make it seem more "real". |

Looks like Lowndes just dropped an engine in a pretty big way?
*EDIT - Just power steering By the way it blew smoke off throttle and it cleared on throttle seems clear. So funny I had a double take at Lowndes thinking "isn't this the co-driver session?" |

The Munted Mustangs do all look fast but I am quietly rooting for the Fullwood/Kostecki car!

Race start has been moved forward 30 minutes due to the threat of weather.
https://www.speedcafe.com/2020/10/15...ought-forward/ Can't wait for it to rain during the podium now, F1 style. |

Fascinated learn why there are no TCR cars in the tintops. Apparently if you run one in a non sanctioned race the logbook is struck and you can't race in any TCR race again, anywhere in the world.

Main game maybe but plenty of cars showing up in Super3 that have run in Sports Sedans.
And there is an ex Supercar in the tintops. I think the thing that makes it dumb is Supercars is somewhat a closed shop with franchises, team IP etc. The whole point of TCR is factories churning out cars people can race cost effectively. TCR classes would be good to watch in events like this. But a TA2 car is half the price of a TCR car, and they look like a barrel of monkeys for the money. Looks like Herne is doing a whole lot better this weekend than Ojeda who has been giving all his cars a bit of a tweaking around the mountain...

Bathurst coverage in 2020 is as full of spin and BS as usual
They are still trying to tell us this 23 year old event is the same as what ran on the long weekend from 1963..... |

Dave Reynolds on his podcast noted that lack of pit stops for fuel and brake changes so far this year could be a factor, and it is proving to be slow during practice.
bloggs, I always record it and watch the recording. Saves a bit of time, you can do your own replays plus skip dreck like that... |

Historic Tourers a mere shadow of its former glory...and their usual appalling treatment by Supercars hit a new low this year

Brock Feeney will be a little sore for his debut drive, certainly a big hit in super two qualifying.
Is “Bert” from BP a little bit OCD? |

It was a raw unpolished event that was very special and somehow it lost that over the years. Anyone who has not watched the very early years of Bathurst would not understand it.

Great lap from Waters to snag pole.
The rain kept away which it seems surely it wont tomorrow. |
