Dillon is such a liar. The side angle clearly shows he wasn't being pushed when he put the #10 in the wall - and if he had actually had "a huge momentum" he would've hit the #10 earlier than that. He should just admit he dumped Almirola, plain and simple.

yes, Atlanta has always been a track that has been plagued by rainy weather. March/Atlanta 5oo has had quite a few, but back in the day, when they ran the Dixie 500, in June, that one was the worse of all for rainouts.

Well, Las Vegas is over. Not much to be said about this race. Kevin spent most of the day in a different zip code that the rest of the drivers in the race. It appeared that Kyle Busch might make it a run in the closing laps, but in the end it really wasn't close. Busch couldn't get any closer that about three seconds back. Harvick and his team appear to have done their homework in the off-season. If Vegas and Atlanta are any indication, he'll dominate the three smith Charlotte clones and the D shaped 1 1/2 milers this season.

Harvick looks scary good right now and given that he has eight(!) wins at Phoenix (sorry, ISM Raceway) I would not bet against him picking up the hat trick next weekend.

Speaking of Phoenix (sorry, ISM Raceway), the spring race will mark the last time they use the current "layout" - for the fall race the start/finishline will be moved to the exit of turn 2, right before the dogleg.

Yeah that was a shame, but it was just one of them racin' deals - the #41 lost traction and skated up the track into the #9 which just happened to be there. Wrong place at the wrong time.

Amusing that the nationwide race or whatever they're calling it now.. that vegas race was way more entertaining.

In the past, that was often the case. Back in the hay day of the Busch Grand National Series, the Busch cars sometime ran faster that the Cup Cars, at tracks like Bristol. The competition was furious. You had seasoned veterans, that had made the Busch Series their home, drivers like Jack "The Ironman" Ingram, that would fight you tooth and nail for the win. They didn't care who the driver was, Cup regular or new, upcoming future superstar, hotshot, you would have to get through them to get a win. The great thing about it was, back in those days, drivers like Ingram mentored the up and coming stars, taught them the ropes and get them prepared for the Cup Series. Under the format that they ran then, the Busch Series rose to number two, second only to the Winston Cup Series, as the most popular racing series in the country! It has really been bad to see what the IDIOTICY of NASCAR's leadership(?) under BRAIN-DEAD Brian have done to this once proud series!

I think the snow race is about to start. March in Virginia was a risk:

There have been five races held at Martinsville in March, but this was the earliest race scheduled there in the history of the track, which opened in 1949. March races are actually a recent occurrence at Martinsville: None of the five March races were held before 2008, or before March 29.
Not sure what they're trying, but it didn't work out here. Hindsight is a beautiful thing!

Yeah, they got it in today, after all the snow yesterday. You're right, really iffy weather in VA, in March. I got home from work and turned the TV on. There were 30 laps to go in the 2nd heat race. Watched them and through the end. No one saw Bowyer coming I don't think. Congratulations to him for breaking his dry spell of wins. From what I could, it was a pretty good race. Something that cannot be said very often in these days.

Good for Clint!

Martinsville generally has the better shows of the year. Shame the weather didn't cooperate.

Agreed, Martinsville does tend to put on a good show. This has just been a weird year for weather. Very unsettled. Guess they were due for some bad weather there. Glad they were able to get it in Monday.
