HSCC Brands Hatch 5th & 6th July

The HSCC have their annualy meeting at Brands Hatch over the weekend of 5th and 6th July. It's a full Grand Prix circuit meeting and will be the first car meeting to use the new Dingle Dell and Sheen curve. Being a 'two dayer' and on the GP circuit, the HSCC are looking for as many marshals as they can muster. If you are able to help out then please drop me a PM and I will give you the contact details.

I'm afraid I can't tell you about the campsite Mark, but if you ring Brands Hatch Circuits they should be able to give you the answer!

Claire, if you want to be out in the forest on the GP loop then ask Peter as sign on, I'm sure he will help if possible.

I believe the Supersports (including Can-Am cars) are scheduled to be there, but haven't seen a timetable anywhere. Oh yes its car racing lets keep it a secret. I can tell you the timetable for the Ipswich spede weekend.

I might have to be a right pain and pull out. How pushed are you for numbers? I can do one day at a stretch but not the two. I'm assuming that tradition dictates greater numbers for sunday?

I'll do some diary/life shuffling and see what i can do.

Vacancies in all positions. Numbers are higher on Sunday, but you will be welcome on either Saturday or Sunday.

Just received the entry list for the weekend - smallest grid 18, largest grid 38 + 5 reserves, all other races with 30 + cars.
Fantastic.

I know that this is a tad late, but it has been a very busy week.

A very big thanks from all at the HSCC, the senior officials, the competitors and, of course, Dave Gilbert and myself, to all of you who turned out at Brands last weekend. I think that most will agree that it was a brilliant meeting. Whilst I could have done with a few more marshals, the HSCC themselves were very impressed by the turnout. The standard of marshalling was excellant. Many of the competitors, particularly in the Orwell Supersports, commented very favourably on the flagging, and the handling of a number of big accidents was exemplary.

Thanks again, and I hope to see you all back next year.
