Chris Wootton has the pole for this weekend's round at Sepang - 14 cars entered, competitive times, impressive little series which is gaining more respect i think...

speedkills should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Last Weekend - Malaysia

What happened to Chris Wootten - Why such bad results for most experienced driver there? What happened to S. Guiliana - He is Scholarship winner yet has very poor results and very far off the pace. He now has had plenty of practice - Where did Motoworld team go?

Summarized in a few pictures below is just one of several incidents Wootton was in. He was leading the race and he got pushed out - this put him at the back of the grid for the next race.

In the first race he also crashed in T1, and then in the 3rd race he had another crash! I don't know about the other two but this one definitely was not his fault .

From AFOS:
Quote:
Unfortunately, one of his rivals had other ideas and drilled the Queenslander, leaving him beside the track wondering what might have been.
Quote:

Ilyas apologized for the incident. “He was braking very early at the first corner and I was going at full throttle on the racing line,” Ilyas said. “I feel so sorry, but there’s nothing I can do.”

very good picture. please keep post do. everyone up to watch this. how da hell its done. c.woton have best lap of sepang weekend. maybe he is immature to be a header. i dunno. afaik he did well on times. s.guilana races the worst team. atlantic racing team is the worst team in formula bmw pacific. you cant win if you are in the wrong side.

I think guiliana raced for Motoworld in 1st two rounds. Atlantic not so bad when Chaves raced for them in 2008. Maybe Chaves was better driver than guiliana and make the car look better!

Bumper grid for Singapore thriller.
bumper grid full of some of the best international junior racing talent will make for a thrilling Formula BMW Pacific meeting from September 25-27, as the series supports the 2009 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.

Having made motorsport history in 2008 by becoming the first cars ever to race on the Marina Bay Circuit, Formula BMW Pacific is back in the Lion City, and for many amongst the field, this will be their first taste of competition on a street circuit.

Joining the regular line-up for the Singapore rounds are a number of guest drivers.

Making his Formula BMW Pacific debut on his home circuit is Singaporean Suriya Bala Kerisnan Thevar (16/Asia Racing Team). The young Singaporean has extensive experience karting in both in Asia and further afield, and aims to become his nation’s most successful racing driver.

From the sister series in the USA, Formula BMW Americas, newly-crowned champion Gabby Chaves (COL/16/Eurointernational) will compete on the Marina Bay street circuit for the second time, having raced there in 2008 with Formula BMW Pacific, taking a podium finish in the second race. Chaves will be joined by Eurointernational teammates Giancarlo Vilarinho (BRA/17), runner-up in the 2009 Formula BMW Americas, Rookie Cup winner Michael Lewis (AUS/18) and runner-up James Kovacic (AUS/16).
