TMSR to announce to random drivers like say Mark Blundell and Jeff Gordon, with Thomas Scheckter testing.

JSM announce a 100 car attack featuring multiple drivers on a rota basis.

They are the only things predictable, but one thing for sure we'll here **** from TMSR and Phil Bennett will be driving a Proton.

Should be re-named Toca Silly season!!!

Vauxhall - Not sure whether they are staying or not
MG/Honda/Proton - Should stay for at least one more year.
Peugeot - Cars now two years old, will they still be fast?
Team AKR/Barwell/Egg - probably depends on sponshership, althogh some 2002 cars should be available.

Mark Blundell was at Brands Hatch - surely that means he's going to be driving next year! Maybe MG will bring him in!

I think all those that stay next year will have the same line-ups as this season. Proton may switch drivers as Bennett hasn't impressed much this year and I think VLR may switch cars as the 406 is no longer a front runner as it was last year. Without works cash they don't stand much chance makng it competitive again.

Both Phil Bennett and David Leslie have 2 year contracts. I don't understand why Phil takes so much criticism all the time. I think it's good to see Proton committing to a driver line-up for 2 seasons. No doubt they will be working hard over the winter to develop the car.

The discussion as to whether Vauxhall will run in a works capacity next year is quite intense, and as to whether the financially troubled Egg firm will continue to sponsor (seems like those 'Brilliant Industries- your lighthouse in the fog of ideas' ads cost more than 2 championship winning racecars). Wonder where those drivers would go if the teams did.

MG would probably keep the same drivers, and I guess Proton and Honda have no reason to change.

VLR look very unlikely to run the same cars next year, their competitiveness seems to be waning, and if the current works cars become available to other Privateers it would be no contest. Same goes for the cars Barwell and TAK have too.

All this so far ignores the two main chances of new driving blood, new constructors entering, and this eyar's works cars being run by Privateers next year. Maybe some Proddy teams will move up.

you never know, it might be true!!!! (oh, there goes that pig again) I'd still like to see them back, you never know, they could have found some sponsorship. Taking a year out will have given them plenty time to get the cars ready, they could actually appear.
