Lots of DQ at Silverstone yesterday - what’s going on?

Most races at Silverstone yesterday had a 2-3 DQs. Anyone know what happened?

I don't know, Andy, but was it as a consequence of the new track limits diktat being applied ruthlessly?

The new proposals haven't been adopted yet - it's still at the consultation stage. However, the meeting is on the Silverstone GP circuit so there are numerous places where track limits can easily be exceeded. As such, it doesn't take too many laps before the penalties available to the Clerk have been exceeded and disqualification is the only option

Odd - I looked on TSL Timing at the Saturday race results and can't find a single DQ.

Most if not all DQs are for the car being underweight

It does sound odd that several cars across several different series were underweight. One or two cars per meeting maybe, but 2-3 in most races?

Have the scales been recalibrated over the winter, or maybe scrutineering has got more thorough, or maybe too many people testing the limits. One of the cars was 948.5kg with a 960kg limit, which is not even close.
