Sad news. Lauda summed him up best. “Completely mad, but a Genius.” Certainly held a lot of drivers in high regard. Amon and Villeneuve were his favourites, which says it all for me.

Ferrari people come and go and a few are remembered more easily than others. Forghieri is definitely one of those few.

One of the few really clever blokes of F1. Very sad to hear of his passing but what a great legacy he leaves and a memorable career he had.

Another of the great building blocks of Motorsport gone forever. Not a ground breaker in the Chapman mould but a though engineer who understood the whole picture and also tamed the Old Man and de Montezemelo. Must have been some bloke! !

Best known and skilled Italian racing engineer, he worked during the very best
of the motorsports with great results. Enzo Ferrari and him at times were funny very Mediterranean. R.I.P. |
