Why do they keep using that AWS tyre meter? Pirelli has said it's junk and not related to any data at all.

Exactly, they just built a better mousetrap and there's something inherently better about both the chassis and engine. Lewis is dominant but Bottas can stay closer than the field, it's not a Max driving the car better than it's abilities. Lewis is just that ability AND the car that suits him and the rules perfectly.

Although it's getting dull and the midfield seem to settle after about the first third and then it's maintain what you've built. Thankfully some of the drivers don't listen that well so we get a bit of battling but not much. Turns the GP in to a watch the first 15 or so, fast forward through and see what guys try at the end. Or hope for rain to mix things up but that fed the old troll to think sprinklers But with all the tech and modeling data they have it's to be expected. Would rather cut that connection to the factory and make them do it with a few data points and feedback from the driver. Doubt that would hurt MB at all with Lewis knowing what he likes and communicating it and Bottas similar.

Utter domination by Mercedes - both Ferrari's lapped - they aready have over double the WCC of RBR and 3 times that of 3rd place McLaren already.

Ferrari's season is over already. Despite Verstappen's best efforts RBR are not close enough to challenge and whatever regulations we have, it seems that for whatever reason in recent F1 can't seem to get 2 or 3 teams at the same level of competition at the same time - so we end up with single team dominance in waves.

Sadly teams can ask if the FIA thinks it's ok but they can still be appealed to the stewards each week. Expect appeals again next race because RP has already said it will take a month to decide from what they've been told. They have to be able to decide faster but apparently not. Correction, I saw Nikolas Tombazis, the FIA single seater guy, has said there will be a result before Silverstone now. Thankfully that could mean no more protests for that part, what part will they protest next.

Apparently teams can't use the radio to speak to drivers on the formation lap? So they can't change the strategy and call the drivers in to change tires and guessing they have the radio calls from the team telling them to come in. Wonder what that penalty will be. 5 seconds would take their points away I think.

10 second penalty for both Haas cars, Mags keeps 1 vital point in 10th. Grosjean dropped until 16th.

Honestly I get the rule at the start of the idea. Teams telling drivers how to adjust the clutch or change settings based on their launch on the formation lap was too much and should have been restricted. But calling a driver in to give up the grid spot and start from pit lane in changing conditions? Don't think that's the spirit of the rule.

To me there is a big difference between the engineer telling the driver how to optimise settings for the start and a strategy call by THE driver and engineer where they actually lose track position by a pitlane start.

It is these sort of driver/engineer gambles that give back of the grid teams a chance of a point. In my view it is not driver assistance, a rule that needs reviewing. Urgently.
