With all this talk about mpg don't forget a US gallon is approximately 3.85 litres whilst an imperial gallon is 4.55 litres.

Something the airlines companies learnt on the hard way.

These things are so God awful ugly. And yes, yes that line behind him is the stop bar and that's not a flashing yellow turn arrow, it's solid red. And the grey dust on the ground in front is speedi-dri from yet another left turn guy trying to beat the light. There were at least 5 bumpers on the grass earlier in December, good Atliens will know the intersection
This was a lot of colors, does the red really go with the rest? All the badges were red replacements. And do they let you up size tires so use an aftermarket plate hanger on the rear? Better solution than many of the jeeps who kinda sorta hang it inside the tinted back glass |

Not quite, Gérard because aviation fuel is calculated by weight, not volume. What you may be thinking about was the incident where the pilots miscalculated the conversion between pounds and kilograms, when an airline ended up actually gliding without power into an airport because they hadn't loaded sufficient fuel. Nowadays, the standard is that all countries, bar very few like Russia, I believe, now deliver fuel weighed by pounds not kilos. |

Yup, and no temperature conversion needed for weight either

Correct Mike, sorry. Happily things have gone more clear and simple over the years: "One pound is the same as 16 ounces (oz) or 1 2 0 0 0 ton (short ton). This also means that one ton is the same as 2000 pounds. There are other units for measuring weight that are less commonly used, such as stone and quarter."

I quite liked the Zakspeed Capri colours of the SUV on the far mid right of the shot.

Yes, that was the one. In close up it doesn't now look so much the Zakspeed colour scheme.

May be its a matter of ride height? I remember that those so particular Capri's off-road abilities were somewhat limited…

I'm thinking they might be more off road worthy than a Bronco Sport though

Man Ramchargers are making a hella comeback on the road, came close to buying a couple different ones in Virginia and cheap as chips, they are not that way now.
Saw a unicorn truck, not many left and they're either factory perfect or questionably road worthy. Yup, that's a white 2dr, 2wd Tacoma. Spent a lot of college riding in one of them with a bench seat, my roommate was 5'6 so yeah it was a sweet comfortable ride 300ZX with Ferrari taillights? Swear the factory lights were full panel not multiple single bezels And this guy was factory like I'm a regular sized human. I could smell and taste how aggressive the cam was in her, it was aggressive Last edited by broadrun96; 17 Jan 2025 at 18:07. |

As it's just a GT, it's probably an auto, but the VE Commodore is my favorite sedan of all time. It's so cool that Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a GXP completely converted a G8 to Commodore SSV spec. His is yellow and has a Tremec T-56. |

You wont believe it Broad but spotted a white one this morning rather rusty and true diesel with no fume (yours seem to be a 528 i). Was a spotting day, could follow a new ugly and massive Capri plus an Xploder (ilictric).

Mind you the one that Broad snapped looks pretty good for its age. Shame that I think its a 528e which was the economy engine (still straight 6 but low tune) and gave about 90kw but decent torque low down. Not a performance car by any means and a long way from an M5. I always wanted one of them |

And for some reason my brain is still on the idiots in NJ I knew who had replacement rears, yes common enough there were multiple I knew, and e badging hung on a few diesel 5s. So I see e and it still says diesel in my slow brain. Same group of folks who had Saabs back then too, and MB diesels that could be outrun by a kid to 60. Were some weird cars folks in Princeton but also a few Bricklins, no no they did not ever run right. Last edited by broadrun96; Today at 18:16. |
