Lee Purnell should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I have read that he is to drive a Quaife GT next year, does anyone know if he has fully recovered from his leg injurys yet?
I remember seeing him do some real damage to his legs after crashing his ultima at full speed.
I know he did F3 last year, with little success.

It was a few years back now, '96 or '97, but I'm still not sure how well he has recovered. He didn't seem to be the same guy when he did F3 last year, but that could have been down to the time he had off racing, and all the rehab.

My friend helped out with his F3 car last year, by all accounts it was a bit of a dog, and he never seemed to have new tyres as the budget was so tight.

He's finished working as a techy at Bath Uni now, and is building race transporters as a business.

Hopefully his ealry form will shine in the Quaife, he was mighty impressive until he wrapped it round the Camp marshalling post..

Remember his accident at Thruxton when he flew over the back of Paula Cook in a F3 race, another big one!!
