Coca Cola 600
On Sunday, the NASCAR Nextel Cup moves to Lowe’s Motor Speedway for the Coca Cola 600. It will feature the longest race of the season. The race will begin late afternoon and finishes in the cool of the late evening. The winner of the race is usually the team that can quickly adjust to the changing condition. Jimmie Johnson is the heavy favorite on this race. He is the three-time defending Coca Cola 600 champion. He still holds a 93-point lead over Tony Stewart in the driver’s standing.

Hopefully we won't be in for another marathon such as the one we had to endure last year.

I`m so happy Kasey won this one. Another JJ win a his home track would have been just too much for me.
Stewart seemed to be hurting after the crash. |

Yeah that final stint it was all his I guess...I wanted Casey to win personally after Tony went out, he nearly won the Busch race as well if he wasn't low on fuel..

Not a bad race, Mears was running well before getting loose and taking out Kyle Busch, he looked like a happy chap, did he end up getting a penalty or anything for that?
5 Roush cars in the top 10, Good run for Edwards. The Haas cars were running well, Is this Carl Haas that runs the team? Is the Hendrick satellite thing much like RCR and DEI are? and is the 66 car last years 0 car? Paul Menard has went well in his 2 runs 7th and 14th, he'll be one to watch when he gets a full time ride. Stewart will sit out Dover practice and qualifying, Rudd will drive them and Stewart will start the race, but Rudd will be on stand by incase it gets too uncomfortable. (If Stewart starts the race he will still get all the drivers points if Rudd has to take over.) |

I taped the end of the race and still haven't got a chance to watch it yet. Good job to Kahne on getting another win. It's also good to see Menard is running well, he didn't get off to the best start a few years back and he's been making continual improvements.
