Thruxton 2: The Revenge
The countdown has begun. The BTCC will be visiting the Hampshire speedbowl of Thruxton this coming weekend for it's second visit of the season. The knowledgeable crowd in Hampshire will be in for a treat.
Will the BMW team repeat the May domination? Can Dan Cammish win a race? Will Jason Plato win at long last? Could BTC Racing finally get an A list celebrity in their garage? Will local drivers Josh Cook, Rob Collard, John George and Dennis Leech find success? |

We'll see if lightning strikes twice, I think we may be in for a surprise or two

Plus there might be weather in play here so wets might be used instead of the only dry tyre on this track

Weather forecast looks pretty poor for this weekend. Could be a wash out.

Excellent. So R1 will be won by Cambridge who will sink without trace in R2 due to the success ballast.
Unless they are helped off the track via a friendly rub first ! |

It's so nice to have only two weeks between meetings after that month without racing

Not since 2013 has an entry specifically skipped Knockhill. The TBL system does not allow them to do so. Knockhill has had the same or larger grid than the round proceeding it every year since.

With this as the theme tune during the green flag lap (modified to reflect the drivers' personalities):

With a guest entry of Rod Stewart in a green and white stripey Lambo not subject to any of these silly little rules and regulations.
With Duncan Bannatyne knocking out ice creams from a van fitted w'pipes, none o'this twee chimes rubbish. |

The weather is currently putting in a splendid performance at Lords. England needs it more than Thruxton!

Good lap by Tordoff. Still Cammish is looking good. Turkington down a bit, but still in a position to bank points
Had to laugh at Plato’s comment about Snetterton R3 ‘being a good one for the punters.’ Yeah, certainly Mr Plato seemed to be ‘punting’ a few in that one! |
