AmD's 2nd S3 should be finished around Oulton Park time, so along with Eurotech, PMR, BKR & Welch there is potential for guest entries BUT I'm not sure we'll actually see any as teams are struggling to fund some of the cars full time, let alone adding to the strain by adding extra cars.

just remember his 100 % race finish record last year he just needs to stay up the sharp end and keep out of trouble

That's the snag though isn't it, he is quick every now and again but you do wonder if it is the car rather than him, way to inconsistent and a bit of a choker aswell when the chips are down.

I may be mis-remembering - happening terribly often in my old age - but was he not something like 3rd in the indy trophy last season, behind on Plato and Turkington?

It's certainly something he's capable of winning, and he's been progressing very nicely from the hot-headed kid he was a few years ago.

I think he had a very similar season to Jordan, always there or thereabouts, but not getting the wins.

I think given the right car, he could be fighting for the championship (definitely in the next few years anyway).

something else, Motorbase for all their years in BTCC didn't actually win a single title !!!!!

their best chance was in 2011 , when Mat Jackson almost got the Indy title, but NO it wasn't enough for him he decided to dice it out with the Dynamics Hondas in a very impossible hope to get the overall title , as a result he got a puncture and lost everything and James Nash won the Indy title....


because of the same foolish driving Motorbase lost out the Indy title to 888

If Motorbase had been able to compete in every round rather than starting half way through the season from Snetterton onwards, they would have probably swept all before them.

Not really. It was embargoed until 9.30. TCT broke the embargo and ran the story early.

As for the full 32 for the whole season. Whether teams have to make a one driver swap or drop the budgets it will happen I reckon. Gow made a big thing of "full season" and I think that will be enforced.

Well no not really as they would have gained Championship Ballast.

They were able to win so many race 1's last season because they joined late and Jackson went into each qualifying session on zero ballast.

Anyone know when and where BMR are testing before Brands? Did their car have an engine in it on Tuesday and if so was it a boxer?

I personally didn't really mind the driver changes. I would prefer it if a driver change was required it was given to a young driver though (under 25 say).

They've done a two day shakedown at Millbrook, and to quote Turkington, the team were returning to base to complete the other 3 cars.

Sounds hopeful ........ but if it wasn't they wouldn't say so in public would they!

Hell of a job by BMR and their engineering partners if they can get all 4 out for Brands and keep them running trouble free (excepting accidents) until the checkered flag in race 3.

About the same odds as Leicester winning the Premier League - oh hang on.....

I expect 2 BMR cars at Brands (Plato & Turkington) with Scott & Cole either sitting on the sidelines or racing VW CC's.

Depend how un-complete the other 3 cars are. If all they have left to do is install the engines then a week is more than enough.

Its a shame Jimmy T isn't figuring in anyone's plans for 2016. When did he last make an appearance in the BTCC? Did he do a one off race for Vauxhall in the S2000 days or is my mind playing tricks?
