Ford kartstars slash entry fees !!!

while at times we all take shots at officials and organising bodies ..the organisers of this years Ford Kartstars series have announced a huge reduction in entry fees for the Australian series.

there is 2 entry options for the drivers to consider and they are as follows.


*Option A – Cost: $12,000

 Arrow K2000 30/32 Chassis
 Rotax Max FR125 engine(equalized)
 Alfano Chronometric system
 6 sets of YGK
 1 set Maxxis wets
 1 set Edwards wet weather wheels
 Engine maintenance
 Petrol/oil for official practice and racing
 40 mm Axle
 2 x 65 mm Wheel hubs
 Entry for all 5 rounds
 Ford Racing Teamwear

At the end of the series, the entrant keeps all of the above.

*Option B – Cost: $8500

As above, but at the end of the series you hand back the Kart and engine including the Alfano system. (limited number of this option available)

By eliminating the travel and prize money for each round plus other consumables such as chains, chain lube and spark plugs, Ford KartStars is now even more financially attractive to the average karter. These changes have also allowed the ultimate prize to be enhanced with the top six drivers in the series (previously five) to now undergo Formula Ford and Victorian Institute of Sport testing and evaluation.

The same great Ford prizes and opportunities are still on offer;

 Top six drivers undergo VIS and Formula Ford evaluation
 The winner is provided with a full season in the National Formula Ford series
 Runner up is provided with a full season in the Victorian Formula Ford series
 3rd place wins a weeks racing drivers school in the UK including airfare

Hey, that aint bad for a top flight kart series with such a fantastic prize. Do you know how many karts are allowed into the series??

Ive looked around Crash ...but i cant find it ..the series does have a limited entry this much i do know.
