beat me again Carrie.

The only way to get me in there again is to have Plato versus Bennett versus Soper in dodgem cars or the likes

Although, they tend to show off new cars in there.

1999 - split colour BAR
2000 - can't remember, don't think there was anything.
2001 - ASCAR

Right, thats it. I;m not going to mention it again.

I am looking forward to meeting the people who are coming from the forum.

Hakkiman dear chap, it's all a question of personal preferences, some like the live arean, others don't. It's up to each person to choose whether they pay to watch or not. Each person has their own reason for visiting the show so I think we should leave it there don't you?

Now there's an idea, what really would tempt us into the Live Action Arena. Hmm, how's about any of the late 1980's touring car grid all together versus Sytner in dodgems

Well if that were to happen, I don't think there'd be a lot of 'dodging' going on However, I'd pay to see it

I'm not going to bother with the live action arena - especially since Carrie mentioned the word 'bar'...

Even better - Plato, Muller, Bennett and Eaves. Four men, four dodgems, four minutes to take it out on each other.

Something tells me Jason won't last more than ooooh... thirty seconds???

If you go karting, u'll never look at the rest of the show. You would spent the whole time waiting in line!

I've been to the show for the last 2 years and haven't been to the live arena so this year I have decided to go. I am sure it will be very different form being trackside but I will go with an open mind and if I don't enjoy it I won't bother booking a seat next year.

So your are saying that £10 is expensive!!

Tickets for the Autosport Show are £13.50 and LIVE Action Arena is £10, thats £23.50 on the day.

Book in advance and you get them for £21. Thats what my Dad did and I paid my £21 to him the other day.

For me the most expensive part of the show is knowing waht to buy and how much you can afford to take.

Does anyone know how many people from the forum are going?

I have to say, I do quite enjoy the Autosport show! (I plan on coming home with arms full of freebies and plenty to write!)

I'me going on Thursday and Friday, or maybe Saturday - press access to all 4 days!

Exactly. That's two BTCC meetings.

I think there's a fair few of us going.

We usually do go to the live action arena, because although it's cramped and noisy and expensive and over-hyped, you do get to see things race that you might not see at any other time in the year. We usually go to see the Robins, Autograss and the F1 Stockers - however, this year I believe there's no Robins at all, so we'll not be attending..

I went to the arena once and haven't been back. I didn't enjoy it much at all. I won't be doing that this year. I'll save my pennies and spend it on something else I consider more worthwhile.

What ? Like alcohol, Lorna ?

Chris, you can see those things racing regularly around the country... I intend to get to at least see one Autograss and one short oval meeting this year...

And I mean actually get there to see them - not like our trip to Northampton last year!!

The Thunderdrome wasn't all that fantastic when I saw it - better off saving up the money you won't be spending on that and going to see the real thing...

Club racing is great watching, and it's real cheap

Personally - I'd rather spend that hour going round without quite such huge crowds in the halls...

Well it looks like I'll be there Friday and probably Saturday...

I'm not making any "appearances" this year, so it'll save you lot coming along and pretending to be interested (until the beer gets the better of you and you fall over/get thrown out) (Craig? Invader? anybody...?)

I certainly wouldn't be telling you if I was (see above reasons) Only kidding, I'm sure they'll be a lovely crowd Simon...

Friday I intend to wander and ogle, Saturday I shall probably be helping out at the Stand 21 stand, feel free to come and say hello but don't be offended if I don't remember names. I am a bit pants at names and unless you have sat in the passenger of my race car, are stunningly beautiful or distinctly annoying I'll have forgotten it...

As for my ha'penny on the Live Action... go to a real race meeting! It's not been the same for me since Pierro Liattis doughnuts in the Impreza, awesome... so I probably won't bother.
