Jesus is this brabham thing still going, apparently perrinn is aswell. Although he's been designing that 1000hp electric car for someone.

What will brabham need to crowdfund? Few million euros to run the Audi for a season. Lol.

A lot of goodwill wasted and some more damage done to the Brabham name with the initial launch of this "project Brabham" - if I was an investor, I would invest my money somewhere else...

In actuality I suspect there wasn't much left once they'd paid for the websites to be developed and rented a couple of stands at Motorshows.

What about IMSA DPI?

Was not a fan of the DP's - but I think IMSA got it right with DPI. Plus IMSA is less expensive to run then WEC.

Correct, DPi requires some level of manufactuer connection. Now, if Brabham wanted to build road cars, or, perhaps be considered as a road-car tuner of a brand, they would have room to build a DPi.

If someone wanted to bring an Alpina to IMSA with the proper backing, or maybe an Abarth from Fiat... they could potentially have another avenue to run a DPi.

Yeah that's £25 I'm never going to see again haha. Oh well. Worst thing was all the hyperbole at the time of the announcement about how big/significant this was for the sport.

As I recall McLaren made it big in sports car before even trying F1 ... and F1 was a lot simpler back then. (so were sportscars.)

On another hand ... maybe there are people who see no ROI in sportscars even if the team succeeds. F1 might be an easier sell.
