This is a really interesting video, an American view of Le Mans '88 from Dan Rather and the 48 Hours news crew.

Wasn't '88 the terrible year for Porsche where almost all their cars cracked the cylinder heads?

Anyway, great video, thanks!

Is there anyway to get those IMSA GTP videos in MP4 format so they can be played back on the PS3 and iPod?

PS, technically not a sportscar, but still super cool.

If you're using Firefox, get this extension. Then you only need to right mouse click (when the video is playing) and "FlashGot Media".

Those FIA GT 1997 and 1998 videos are fantastic. Thankyou to Dani and everyone else for making us aware of the existence of these vids. Before youtube came along there hasnt been much from those two years available online.

A lap of Le Mans in 1956, at the wheel of a Jaguar XK120 (I think) driven by Mike Hawthorn:

Hawthorn provides a running commentary throughout, on possibly the world's first hands-free kit!

It is a D Type, but, what a treasure that is! I guess with the cyclists and motorcylists about you didn't want to plant the pedal, but what a temptation judging by the engine notes that carry through.

"Clash Productions has just released a six minute long trailer for their forthcoming feature film, TITAN. And while we know little about the TITAN project, or for that matter when the film will be released, what we do know is that Clash Productions has yet to disappoint. That said, follow the link for six whole minutes of endurance racing ecstasy..."
